Cherry Street Closed After Pole Snaps
A car crash has closed a Wenham street on Monday evening.
A portion of Cherry Street in Wenham was closed on Monday night after an utility pole snapped in a car crash.
The single vehicle crash happened just before 5 p.m. east of the intersection with Morgan Street. There were minor injuries to the driver. Crews from Wenham police and fire departments plus Lyons ambulance responded.
The road was closed between Topsfield Road (Route 97) and Monument Street. Cedar Street is the easiest way to get around the closure.

National Grid said that fewer than five homes were without power as a result of the snapped pole. As of 6 p.m. there was no estimate yet for when power would be restored and the repairs would be complete.
