What a shame! WWWW&W are missing

No, I’m not referring to the missing airliner.

What’s missing is media coverage of town news.

There is almost no reporting of discussions that relate to the town’s future.

Why isn’t there a reporter at these meetings?

Where are the answers to the Who, What, When, Where & Why questions?

Publishers bemoan falling circulation. Editorial staffs are reduced.

Why would people pay for a publication if it doesn’t do a good job of reporting what’s happening?

As a former journalist, I’m appalled at the state of the fourth estate, with regard to coverage of local news.

Should we be putting missing reporter signs on telephone poles?

Perhaps, the very poor voter turnouts at town meetings is a result of voters not knowing about the issues.

Democracy depends on informed voters.
