Thank You

We would like to thank the Hamilton Fire Department for their speedy response to our call for help when our benign fireplace fire morphed into a frightening chimney fire. From the dispatcher who calmly took my information, to the crew that responded, we were impressed by their professionalism in executing the procedures needed to gain control over the fire. I began to relax a bit when I realized that their efforts had prevented major damage to our home. Captain Mark Goodwin and his well trained staff were so thorough, that, but for the faint smell of smoke, you would never have known that a fire had taken place. Thanks also to the Essex Fire Department who responded with equal speed and remained  during the whole event to assist. Only someone who has experienced an event like this truly understands the gratitude that one feels toward those who, literally saved our home.  Jim and Trudy Dooner
