Occupation: President of KYON Pharma, Inc. We make and market implants for veterinary orthopedics, primarily for dogs.
Hobbies/interests: Running, kayaking, photography and guitar

What are you passionate about? Family, work and hobbies
What did you study in school? I was an English major and 10 years later got an MBA.
Are you utilizing this subject now? All the time
Favorite book: This summer I re-read Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry. In nonfiction I recently enjoyed: The Emperor of all Maladies by Siddartha Mukherjee and the excellent trilogy by Atul Gawande (Complications, Better and The Checklist Manifesto).
Dream vacation: I'd like to go to Alaska and do some kayaking on the way around the islands off the coast of British Colombia.
What have you done in your life that makes you proud? I'm proud of my sons, who are on their own and doing well. It is not easy these days for people starting families and careers.
How long have you lived in HW? 3 years
How come you chose HW? The town makes a great effort to give children a safe, stimulating environment with excellent educational resources. We wanted a small town with a "country" feel where we could walk into town for a cup of coffee. Most mornings I have coffee at before work. We also like the proximity to the coast and being able to take the train into Boston.
What is your favorite place in Hamilton Wenham? The parks and running on the trails.
What is an a fact about you that most don’t know? I once swam the 200 meter butterfly in the lane next to Mark Spitz. He won.
Where would someone see you around town? I walk all around Hamilton and Wenham, frequently going to 300 Main, the or .
Which local services and programs do you support? The Food Pantry's "Grow a Row" this year was a very good program. We also support the , The Hamilton Foundation and local conservation efforts.
