Has Anyone Else Noticed?

Have you noticed the changes and improvements to the Hamilton downtown area?  I have.

A few weeks ago Selectman Jeff Hubbard held a downtown "walkabout" that included two other Selectmen, our town Manager, and many residents and local business owners.  The purpose of the walk was to point out some of the maintenance neglect that reflected poorly on the business district.

Since that walkabout, many of the items discussed have been implemented, including the DPW's weed whacking of the curbs, fresh painting of crosswalks and repainting of the one-way arrows on Railroad Avenue.  In addition, local merchants have been repainting their stores, including Connelly's and the Hamilton Veterinary Clinic.  They Look great!

It also appears as though Talbot's is in the early stages of a facelift.

All in all...good news and good views for the downtown.  Thank you Jeff and the DPW and our merchants for helping achieve these simple improvements to our business district.  There's more to be done, but it's a great start.
