Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 22

Today is Thursday, Sept. 22. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Weather: Thursday is forecasted to be the first of many, many cloudy and rainy days. It will not be a rainout on Thursday, but will be cloudy with temperatures in the mid-70s.

2. Book Sale: if you have not gotten down to at some point this week for the , Thursday is your last chance. Every book is a deal and the proceeds benefit the Friends of Hamilton-Wenham Public Library, which buys the popular museum passes and funds many other popular programs at the library.

3. Summer: Thursday is the last full day of summer, with the autumnal equinox coming at about 5 a.m. on Friday.

4. Kid fun: There are two great local activities on Thursday for the little ones. In the morning at the , the , Brian Doser, with the classic children’s tunes he plays in his guitar. That begins at 10 a.m. At at 3 p.m., “Fall Story Time with Robin” features Farm Educator Robin O’Neil telling stories and singing songs. No sign up or advance registration is necessary for either event. Music Man is $5 per family suggested donation and Robin’s Story Time is $1 per child.

5. School Committee: The will get a new member tonight. Both the School Committee and the Wenham Board of Selectmen at to vote on – Harriet Davis, Tyson Goodridge or Larry Swartz – will fill an open seat on the committee.
