Today is Wednesday, June 8. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Weather: You’ve probably heard all about it – some hot weather is headed our way. The forecast for Wednesday calls for temperatures close to 90 with sun.

2. Tennis: Both high school tennis teams are playing Wednesday afternoon versus Bedford High School in semifinal tournament action in the Div. 3 North semifinals. It’s just a coincidence that both squads are facing the same opponent in the same round of the tournament. The at (rescheduled from Tuesday) and the girls .

5. Joint meeting: The Boards of Selectmen and Finance Committees from both towns at , but the meeting was cancelled late Tuesday because it was not properly posted 48 hours in advance in both towns. The four boards had planned to discuss the 2012 school budget and Dr. Raleigh Buchanan’s departure as school superintendent.
