Five Things You Need to Know Today: July 5

Today is Tuesday, July 5. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Weather: OK, it was a hot one on Monday and that’s a trend we should expect to continue. Tuesday’s forecast calls for sun with temperatures in to the mid-80s.

2. Leni the Llama: Leni, the mascot from the summer reading theme “One World, Many Stories” will be hiding at a town office or business in Hamilton and Wenham for the rest of the summer, starting on Tuesday through Aug. 19. The treasure hunt, of sorts, is for children 12 and under who are eligible for a prize each week. Children can enter by writing down the location during a visit to the Children’s Room at .

3. Farm Camp: The first of four camps begins today at for ages 6-8. While the camp requires advance registration and it is to late to enroll for this week, camps for 5-6, 7-9 and 9-11 run later this summer.

4. Star Wars: The continues on Tuesday afternoon with Star Wars “The Empire Strikes Back” at the library. It starts at 3 p.m.

5. Danvers Fireworks: There's no fireworks show in the two towns, but if you planned to attend in Danvers, it was postponed to Tuesday night – also at Plains Park.
