Five Things You Need to Know Today: Feb. 7

Today is Monday, Feb. 7. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Schools: There’s in Hamilton-Wenham. It’s going to be the last day without school, school leaders said on Sunday afternoon, as the is expected to be completed in time to have the schools open on Tuesday.

2. June 27: It’s the scheduled last of school for Hamilton-Wenham students – right now – barring any changes to the schedule or further snow days. Parents and students will be polled this week about some options to make up some of the days and the School Committee is expected to discuss some of the options at its meeting on Thursday night.

3: Hamilton Selectmen: The selectmen to consider several items, including a vote to deficit spend to pay for snow removal.

4. 1,000: A senior basketball player who started out his freshman season by scoring fewer than 20 points last week became the 17h player in school history to reach the 1,000 point mark.
