Today is Monday, Dec. 19. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Weather: The coldest weather since early March moved through on Sunday, but temperatures are forecasted to get back up to normal on Monday. After an overnight low temperature into the teens, Monday will be sunny with temperatures into the mid-40s with gusty winds.

2. Skating: The first of several free, open public skates at Johnson rink . There are scheduled for the public during the next two weeks while the school is on holiday break.

3. Wenham Leaf Collection: The comes first thing on Monday morning. After , there will be a bagged leaf collection all across town on Monday morning. The bags should be out by 7 a.m.

4. Afghanistan: Monday is the last day to send a package to Afghanistan and make sure it still gets there by Christmas. There are , and Monday is the final day the U.S. Postal Service says a package headed to troops in Afghanistan can be sent from stateside.
