Five Things to Know Today in Hamilton and Wenham: May 4

Today is Friday, May 4. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Addams Family: Could the football field at become the setting for the scene for a movie? Interim Superintendent Peter Gray told the School Committee on Thursday night that a scene for a new Addams Family movie may be filmed on the field and he will meet with movie producers at the field on Friday to see if it will work.

2. Wenham Voting and Town Meeting: Saturday is a busy day for Wenham voters, with voting in the annual town election from 8 a.m. to noon at and the at 1 p.m., also at Buker. Between voting and Town Meeting, do not forget the . Absentee balloting for the town election concludes on Friday – ballots can be dropped off with the town clerk between 9 a.m. and noon at .

3. Battle Bands: Friday marks the end of the first round of voting in . Voting ends at noon and the bands that will advance to the next round will be announced later on Friday. Remember, one of the entrants is Serotheft, which includes Derek Rice of Hamilton and bandmates from the Burlington, Vt. area where he attends St. Michael’s College.

4. Storybooks: One of the current exhibits at , in the Thompson Gallery, wraps up on Sunday. It has run since February featuring toys and the stories that feature those toys.

5. Hamilton Leaves: Still have some leaves piled up in your yard? Get them out early on Saturday morning . Town officials say the leaves need to be in a biodegradable bag or trash barrel by 7 a.m. It will be the last curbside collection of leaves in Hamilton until fall.
