The weekend is here and Hamilton-Wenham Patch delivers you our “Get Out” weekend planner with a quick rundown on some weekend activity options in Hamilton, Wenham and nearby on the North Shore.
Where/When: ; Saturday and Sunday, April 16 and 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
Why Go: People line up early (before it opens) at this semi-annual sale, so it must be good. It’s been dubbed “the North Shore’s best rummage sale” and you can find everything from clothing and jewelry to china and paintings.
Where/When: Bennett Center, ; Saturday, April 16, 8 a.m.
Why Go: This isn’t the Iron Man. It’s a manageable quarter mile pool swim, 12 mile bike and a five kilometer trail run. A challenge, yes. But very doable for someone who is in shape. The field for the race is full and no more entries are being accepted, but seeing the competitors in action can be fun and an inspiration to try it next year.
Pricing: Free for spectators
Where/When: A.J. Gordon Memorial Chapel, , Saturday, April 16
Why Go: It’s a performance at some of the college’s top musicians, including the Wind Ensemble and Women's Choir.
Where/When: ; Sunday, April 17, 2 p.m.
Why Go: It will be fun and interesting. You’ll leave knowing how to raise chickens in your yard and be able to get all your questions answered.
Where/When: Crane Beach, 290 Argilla Road, Ipswich
Why Go: A great chance to start out the season on the beach, for free. Plus, it will be a nice day (sunny) with temperatures in the 50s.
