Cell Phone Coverage - Open Letter to Selectmen

As a Hamilton resident I am frustrated with the cell phone coverage in town.  After reading the online Hamilton Wenham Patch, I realize I am not alone.  Many area residents have commented on this issue. This is serious for the following reasons.

Business.  When incoming calls do make it through to my Verizon phone I cannot pick up the call in many parts of Hamilton for fear of the call being dropped.  This hinders my business communications.  Dropped calls are embarrassing, unprofessional and lose business.

Real Estate.  Realtors are now imploring clients to check cell phone coverage inside and outside homes buyers are considering purchasing.  Lack of coverage could negatively affect the purchasing decision, perhaps driving some buyers to other communities with better coverage. 

Safety.  I have to tell babysitters that if they need to make an emergency telephone call they need to step outside the house or the call will either be dropped or never connect.  I must implore them to overcome instinct to use their cell and instead find our hard line phone in the house.  I'm sure that I am not the only one in the neighborhood who needs to address this issue with babysitters.   This lack of coverage could cause confusion during an emergency.  This confusion could eat up precious time which could lead to disastrous results.

For the reasons above I ask you to address and resolve this issue immediately.
