Wenham Museum Reception Friday to Showcase New England Children's Books

Each spring the Wenham Museum exhibits children’s illustrators in the "Draw Me a Story" two-week exhibit. 

We are kicking off the exhibit "Draw Me a Story: Alphabets and Animals" with an adult reception on Friday, March 7 from 6 - 8 pm and a family reception on Sunday, March 23 from 1-3pm. 

On Friday night, members of the community are invited to meet the illustrators from the Draw Me as Story exhibit at a cocktail reception. Catering generously provided by Timothy Hopkins Catering.  Book signings will be held throughout the reception.

This year’s theme of alphabets and animals was inspired by the wit and whimsy seen in the artwork created by seven award-winning New England children’s book illustrators.   In keeping with the animal theme, guests are asked to bring a $10 donation to benefit the Cape Ann Animal Aid.

  • There’s a Train Out for Dreamland illustrated by the mother daughter team of Jane and Brooke Dyer, 
  • Dinosaur Alphabet Book by Ralph Masielo’s , 
  • F is for Fenway by John Dykes .  
  • The art of  illustrators David Hyde Costello, Judy Pelikan and Margie Florini will also be featured in this joyful exhibit.
