Gazebo to be Lit With Carols and Cookies

The gazebo and Christmas tree lighting on Thursday night will also including caroling, cocoa and cookies.

Christmas will arrive in downtown Hamilton on Thursday night with a sing-a-long and lighting of the tree and gazebo. The sing-a-long will be led by Brian Doser, Peter Stewart and Joe Scuderi at the Community House of Hamilton-Wenham and be followed by cookies, cocoa, and caroling. Then comes the lighting ceremony at the Patton Park gazebo and Christmas tree at People’s United Bank. It all starts at 6:30 p.m. and best of all - it's free. For year's, the lighting happened on a Sunday night but was moved to Thursday night last year and returns on Thursday night again this year. Stewart and Scuderi have led the annual event for years and last year added "Music Man" Brian Doser, known for his musical sessions at the Community House twice a week. The forecast for Thursday evening is looking pretty good, with mild temperatures in the upper 40s with a slight chance of a shower.
