Trick-or-Treat Will Go Ahead as Usual This Halloween

Trick-or-treat is scheduled to happen as usual on Halloween night in both Hamilton and Wenham.

Trick-or-Treating in Hamilton and Wenham will return to “normal’ for Halloween on Thursday evening.

Trick or treat hours are 5-8 p.m. in Hamilton, according to Police Chief Russell Stevens, and also 5-8 p.m. in Wenham, according to Town Administrator Mark Andrews.

Halloween trick-or-treat will go ahead as usual on Thursday after last year’s postponement. Halloween came three days after Superstorm Sandy swept into the area in 2012, knocking down trees and power lines and cutting power. Safety concerns about the downed wires forced leaders in both towns to postponed trick-or-treat.

That won’t happen this year, although Thursday night’s forecast calls for a chance of an afternoon or evening shower with temperatures in the 50s.
