Tap to Table at Appleton Farms

March is the time for sugaring in New
England.  Appleton keeps this very

special tradition alive by tapping the farms beautiful maple trees and
producing wood-fired, small batch syrup. We will begin the workshop by enjoying
a leisurely walk around the farmstead to show you how sap is harvest and
collected. We will make sure to stop along the way and visit our very own sugar
shack. After our walk we will continue to the farm kitchen where Chef Carolyn
Grieco will teach us some amazing new recipes that incorporate maple syrup. This
workshop includes the farm tour, hands-on instructional workshop, printed
recipes, and a light meal. Dishes will include: maple mustard vinaigrette,
butter braised sweet potatoes and, upside down maple pear pancakes.
