Rescue Railroad Model Train Layout at Wenham Museum

Open Veterans Day

November 11, 2013  from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Train fans of all ages; come to Wenham Museum Veterans Day weekend to explore the dramatically humorous model train layout, “Rescue Railroad.” See classic and contemporary model trains racing around the tracks, rescuing passengers from burning buildings throughout the busy town! Loops of standard-gauge track will be set up around the outskirts of a quaint village with stores, diners, and old-fashioned fire stations, including a fire house built completely out of Lego bricks.

Model train and toy fans will appreciate the fine art of life in miniature in a display of classic and contemporary toy fire trucks and model fire stations on loan to the museum from North Shore collectors.  The “Rescue Railroad” model train layout has something for everyone in the family to enjoy and will be on display one weekend only.
