Lego® Builders, Assemble! at the Wenham Museum

LEGO Advanced Mechanics Workshop (Ages 8+)

July 21–25    1-4 pm

In this half-day program, beginners and experts alike design and build their own motorized remote-controlled robots, using Lego® Mindstorms. In teams of two, they incorporate physics, mechanical engineering, and programming concepts while building the fastest, strongest, smallest, and largest robots to compete in a variety of challenges.

Projects in this program focus on building complex mechanical structures using Lego gears, motors, and remote controllers. The projects will include building cars with suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel drive. Students will have the opportunity to customize their creations and build their own designs.
