Explore Ipswich Trail Ride

Join ECTA board member Joe Sandulli and trail steward Ralph Williams on
an equestrian trail ride adventure across Ipswich on Sunday, August 18th. We will leave at 10:00 am from Joe Sandulli's house, 157 County Road (Rt 1A) in Ipswich.

Joe and Ralph will lead us along trails through the Julia Bird
Reservation, Mill Road Farm, Turner Hill Farm, Bradley Palmer State Park, Willowdale State Forest, Linebrook Woods and Prospect Hill. The
route is about 8 miles and the pace will be mostly trotting and walking. The ride will end at Ralph's house, 9 Nags Head Road in Ipswich.

Please note: There could be a few issues for some horses: There is a
shallow but wide river crossing; a long, high bridge crossing at Bradley

Palmer (the sides have been built up so most horses do not have a
problem); and 4 low, but relatively narrow bridges in the Linebrook Woods.  Horses should be comfortable with these types of obstacles, and
riders should be able to safely trot on the trails in a group.

Advance registration is REQUIRED for this event. Please visit the Explore Ipswich Trail Ride page at http://ecta27.camp7.org/events?eventId=712056&EventViewMode=EventDetails to register.

For horse management, we recommend the following options:

1) Arrive early to drop your horse off at Joe's barn, where we can
accommodate horses, drive your trailer to Ralph's house and we
will shuttle you back to Joe's

2) Leave your trailer at Joe's and then stable horse at Ralph's after
the ride when we will shuttle you back to pick up your trailer.

3) Partner with a friend to leave a trailer at Ralph's and then trailer together to Joe's.
