Boston Children's Theatre (BCT) is proud to welcomeBroadway's one and only Seth Rudetsky to Boston for a one-day master class and audition session on Sunday, January 13, 2013. The star of SethTV and Broadway host on Sirius/XM radio, Mr. Rudetsky is an accomplished author, music director, musician and producer. There isn't anyone on Broadway who doesn't know Seth!
Mr. Rudetsky's appearance is in conjunction with the re-mounting of BCT's ground-breaking production of "Reflections of a Rock Lobster." Nominated for an ElliotNorton Award for Outstanding New Script, "Reflections of a Rock Lobster" tells thetrue story of Aaron Fricke, a Rhode Island high school student who in 1979 successfullysued his school for the right to escort his boyfriend to the prom. BCT was the firstchildren's theater in the country to tackle issues of growing up gay, bullying, and civilrights in a mainstage production and the reaction from the community was tremendous.Performances of "Reflections of a Rock Lobster" will be March 9 through March 17,2013 at the Boston Center for the Arts.

"Bullying is an issue facing students on a daily basisand through theater we are able to spark discussion and help students deal with somedifficult topics. Seth is an advocate on so many levels, yet he also has a special comedictalent that will make this a truly unique experience for the audience. BCT is veryfortunate to have his support both for this play and for our Boston theater community."
The Master Class will be open to high school actors ages 14 - 20years old interested in auditioning for a role in "Reflections of a Rock Lobster." Inaddition to a discussion and Q&A, Mr. Rudetsky will join Burgess Clark to oversee auditions for the play. The master class andaudition will be held on Sunday, January 13 from 1pm to 4pm at the BCT Studio, 316 Huntington Avenue in Boston.
