Selectman Jeffrey Hubbard Re-elected

Hubbard beat challenger Shawn Farrell in Thursday's election, according to unofficial vote totals.

Selectman Jeffrey Hubbard was re-elected in Thursday's town election.

Hubbard beat challenger Shawn Farrell by a count of 513 votes to 494, according to unofficial totals.

The race was the only contested one on Thursday's ballot.

Jane Wetson was re-elected town clerk, while William Dery, Roger Kuebel, Stacey Metternick, and Lawrence Swartz were all elected to the School Committee.

The turnout was 19 percent. Of the 5,661 registered voters in town, 1,016 voted Thursday.

Congratulations Jeff... thank you and Shawn for a nice clean campaign. I sincerely hope Shawn will continues to stay involved and engaged because he will get another chance next year.... It has become evident to most that we need some major changes on the direction of the Hamilton BoS!

Congratulations to the Hamilton voters. You spoke up saying that the nasty comments of the other selectmen are not what you want ... the harsh tenor of the weekly BoS meetings must stop.
