The third severe thunderstorm warning of the afternoon for Hamilton and Wenham was issued at 2:21 p.m. on Wednesday.
The National Weather Service said another thunderstorm capable of producing hail the size of a quarter and damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour is headed toward Hamilton and Wenham.
The severe thunderstorm warning runs until 3 p.m. and includes portions of Essex County, Middlesex County and Suffolk County.
The storm was near Wilmington and headed southeast at 30 miles per hour. The areas that are affected range from Lawrence in the north, Woburn to the west and Lynn to the south. Hamilton and Wenham are specifically noted in the weather service’s latest alert that it is in the line of the storm.
The and it was later extended at about 1:45 p.m. So far, some minor flooding has been reported on streets and roads in the two towns, incuding Pleasant Street and Larch Row in Wenham Highland Street in Hamilton.
