TELL US: Did you Feel the Earthquake?

A 4.6 magnitude quake in Maine shook homes in Hamilton and Wenham on Tuesday night.

Did you feel that shaking?

An earthquake near Hollis, Maine rattled homes and teeth all the way to the South Shore on Tuesday night. Measurements by the U.S. Geological Survey said the quake occurred 16.8 miles underground and hit 4.0 on the Richter Scale. Lake Arrowhead is about 30 miles west of Portland and 90 miles north of Hamilton and Wenham.

At Tuesday night's Wenham Board of Selectmen meeting, Chairman Molly Martins announced that it was a earthquake a few minutes after it hapenned. She noted that it was not a large truck passing by Wenham Town Hall on Route 1A as some people may have thought.
