Storm Aftermath Will Include Gusty Winds Sunday

A wind advisory is in place through the day on Sunday.

The first snowstorm of the winter is over, but forecasters are warning that gusty winds will linger through the day on Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory that runs through 8 p.m. on Sunday for Hamilton and Wenham.

Northwest winds blowing at 25-30 miles per hour with gusts to 50 miles per hour are expected through the day. The strongest winds are expected between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., the weather service said.

The wind advisory was issued because sustained winds of 31-39 miles or gusts to between 46 and 57 miles per hour are expected.

The wind could knock down tree limbs and possible cause power outages.
