Half of Wenham Was Without Power

Power outages and downed trees were widespread in both Hamilton and Wenham after Hurricane Sandy.

About half of Wenham was without power late on Monday night, according to National Grid.

At one pont on Monday, sections of several roads in the town were closed too, including Cedar Street and Larch Row. 

By Tuesday morning, outages in Wenham were down to 115 homes out of National Grid's 1,500 customers in the town. Those outages were scattered throughout town.

In Hamilton, a section of Asbury Street near Canter Brook Equestrian Center was closed because of a fallen tree, and the Elm Street, Fox Run Road and Tally Ho Drive area were closed because of downed trees and wires.

In Hamilton, 766 homes out of more than 3,000 customers were without power.
