Five Things to Know on Jan. 28: Meet a High School Principal Candidate

An essential get-me-going daily morning column from Hamilton-Wenham Patch.

Today is Monday, Jan. 28. Here are five things you need to know in Hamilton and Wenham:

1. Icy: Clouds will move in on Monday and will eventually give way to snow around dinnertime before changing over to a mix of sleet and freezing rain. A total accumulation of 1-2 inches of precipitation in expected.

2. Principal: Parents and members of the public will have a chance on Monday to meet one of the two finalists to become to new principal at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. Eric Tracy, who is currently principal at Wilmington High School, will be in the music room at the high school at 5 p.m.

3. Stamps: The price of mailing a letter went up by a cent on Sunday. It now costs 46 cents to mail a letter and 33 cents for a postcard.

4. Music Man: The Music Man, Brian Doser, performs as usual on Monday at the Community House of Hamilton-Wenham at 10 a.m. Preschoolers love his fun tunes. Admission is $5 per family.

5. Hamilton Selectmen: The Hamilton Board of Selectmen meet on Monday night at 7 p.m. at Hamilton Town Hall, where the board will hear a presentation about the Recreation Master Plan and discuss a code of conduct.
