Ithaki offers Greek cuisine in a fine dining experience at reasonable prices in downtown Ipswich.

Owner Petros Markopoulos has recreated the welcoming atmosphere of a Greek home.

Newly renovated in 2010, the restaurant includes an expanded circular bar area with plenty of seating for casual diners looking for a lighter bar or luncheon fare, while the main dining room is well-appointed with comfortable furnishings and beautiful flower arrangements.

Markopoulos’s emphasis on modern Mediterranean food cuisine steeped in tradition, yet innovatively crafted, warm and professional service, personal attention and teamwork has made this restaurant a popular destination since 1997.

Ithaki is at the corner of Hammat and Washington streets in the Market Square area of Ipswich, about one block from the train station. There is limited parking in the parking lot, however there is on street parking as well as a public parking lot a short walk away.

The lunch and bar menu prices range from $7 to $15; dinner prices range from $12 - $30. Dress is business casual.

In addition to regular dining, Ithaki also handles special events and can accommodate parties of up to 80 people. For larger events of 80-120 people, the entire restaurant can be dedicated to your party. Function menus start at $25 per person.

Ithaki is open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dinner hours are Monday through Saturday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The bar opens daily at 4 p.m.
