Dangerous Ozone Levels Expected on Friday
Elevated levls of ground level ozone on Friday may cause unhelathy air.
The state Department of Environmental Protection is warning that air quality in Hamilton and Wenham on Friday may be unhealthy.
The DEP is calling Friday an “air quality action day” because of the elevated amount of ground level ozone expected from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
"An air quality action day means that ground level ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards,” the DEP said in issuing its alert at about 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
