'Blown Fuse' Caused Saturday Power Outage
National Grid said what essentially amounted to a "blow fuse" caused about 200 electric customers to lose power for most of the day on Saturday in Hamilton.
A “blown fuse” on a piece of equipment caused a power outage for 230 electric customers in Hamilton for most of the day on Saturday, according to National Grid.
The outage struck at about 8 a.m. on Saturday, according to National Grid spokeswoman Amy Zorich.
A piece of equipment on a transformer along Sagamore Street – simply described as a “blown fuse “ – caused the outage, she said.

Repairs were conducted and power was restored at about 3 p.m.
The bulk of the affected electric customers were along Sagamore Street and Bay Road.
