Oliver Stone's Book

The impact of "The Untold History of the United States" has upon the presidential race.

Oliver Stone might have voted for Ron Paul if he could have, but when it comes to Mitt Romney he stated, “I’m not voting for that idiot.”

The fact that Oliver Stone supports Obama for this election might be overlooked with headlines like “Oliver Stone Rips Obama”. Even if you don’t think that this book is for you, you should still agree to seek the truth.

People often state that they do not like Michael Moore, and then admit that they have not seen one of his documentaries. I was so moved by Sicko, that at one point I refused to talk to anyone about healthcare unless they had seen the movie. Another eye-opener is Capitalism: A Love Story.

Michael Moore stated, "Democracy is not a spectator sport, it's a participatory event.
If we don't participate in it, it ceases to be a democracy. So Obama will rise
or fall based not so much on what he does but on what we do to support
him."

How could we possibly select the best presidential candidate when we have the news to give us updates on “Dancing with the Stars”?

The presidential race is close because we often select our presidents the same way we select what we eat. “Let’s see, should I have the hamburger and fries or the veggie sub?” They both look good, but only one is good for you. Vote based on appearance and you might be swayed by my favorite actor’s over-simplified statements to an empty chair.

Recently in New England a small earthquake occurred, and soon afterward a hurricane. Based on appearances alone, you might conclude that a volcano is next. Most people realize that the odds of a volcano erupting soon in New England are astronomically small, but they will still vote with their guts instead of utilizing sites like FactCheck.org. They will say, “May I please have two cheeseburgers, cheesy fries, and the vanilla Republican?”

For presidential appearances sake, a hurricane tends to help the incumbent in the polls. I sincerely hope that all your family and friends were unhurt by Sandy, but when the one percent’s Trump-tie candidate asks for more “horses and bayonets”, I have to think to myself, “Barack you like a hurricane!”
