What's Open and Closed Locally on July 4th

A look around the two towns and what businesses are open, closed or have different hours for the holiday on Monday.

Monday is Independence Day, which means some businesses are closed, others have limited hours and others are open with regular hours. The best bet is to call ahead to check - you can use our "Places" page to find the phone numbers - but here’s a wrap-up of some of the businesses that you are most likely to be wondering whether it is open or not.

Government:

MBTA:

Commuter trains will run on a Saturday schedule and fares will not be collected after 10:30 p.m. The last train to leaves North Station at 11:15 p.m. An outbound train on the Rockport line, making all the stops in Beverly except North Beverly, departs at 11:45 p.m.

The Hamilton branches of , and are all closed on Monday.
