Mangia Pizza Equipment Now For Sale

Wenham's only future shop may reopen if it can find a new owner.

The equipment from Wenham's only pizza shop is for sale, according to a post by the company on its Facebook page.

The restaurant closed in November after 10 months in business, posting at the time that it would be undergoing renovations.

After a month, though, there was no sign of work happening inside. The owner of Mangia and a company spokesman did not return messages left by Patch inquiring about the restaurant's future.

Initially, Mangia posted on its main Facebook page a message stating: "We are looking for new ownership for that franchise. We will keep you updated here."

The message came in response to a question for a customer about the future of the restaurant after Mangia posted a Happy Thanksgiving message.

Last week, though, the company said that the "burden of managing Mangia Pizza
remotely was too much," according to owner, Bill Gately. "We are in the process of selling the equipment."
