Lekkakos Expands Spa Offerings with New Wenham Village Business

M. Lekkakos Salon and Spa in Wenham village will have a new neighbor next month - a med spa named KosmetiQue.

Maria Lekkakos, the former Miss Massachusetts whose salon and spa has called Wenham village its home for more than a decade, has a new business in the works.

Lekkakos plans to open KosmetiQue, a medical spa, next month at 152 Main St. above Grassy Roots. The building is owned by Lekkakos and the space was formerly home to Cake Creative.

The med spa is opening in response to client demand, Lekkakos said in an interview. It will be immediately adjacent to M. Lekkakos, her existing spa and salon, with a side entrance that faces it.

KosmetiQue will offer advanced treatments such as laser hair removal, vein removal and lifting treatments with a focus on clientele age 35 and older. Lekkakos said she has hired three registered nurses to work there and the medical director will also work the front desk.

"It's not a salon and not a spa," she said. "Our clients are asking for these treatments."

Lekkakos said the new med spa will compliment M. Lekkakos, which offers a more "naturally-oriented salon and classic spa treatments."

With the opening of KosmetiQue, Lekkakos said all of the commercial and office space in the property she owns in Wenham village - at 152, 154 and 158 Main St. - is occupied.

Lekkakos said she plans a November opening for KosmetiQue. The interior work is almost complete, with a "traditional yet chic" French decor, Lekkakos said, that will provide a "private, luxurious environment." It will carry Image Skincare professional grade products

"It's a beautiful, quaint space," she said, adding KosmetiQue will be high-end and top-notch. "We knew we wanted to bring M. Lekkakos to the next level."
