Mac's Shoe Repair, which has operated on Willow Street since the 1950s, will soon close.
Owner Robert McRae told MyFoxBoston.com he's retiring.
He said enjoyed the relationships with customers.
"You get to know them and they become like friends, they are friends," he said.
