Back in July, the city ok'd Walgreens to occupy the space, the Salem News reported.
Construction is slated to begin in September, with the store opening sometime between March and May 2013.

According to the Salem News, the proposal was met with strong opposition from neighbors when it was first proposed in January. The concerns, they said, stemmed mainly from traffic on already busy Dodge Street.
