Gas Prices Up for First Time in Two Months

For the first time in more than two months, gas prices locally and statewide have gone up in the past week.

AAA of Southern New England says gas prices statewide are up for the first time in more than two months, to a statewide average of $3.67 for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline. That's up six cents from last week and four cents higher than the national average.

A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was $2.71 per gallon.

In Hamilton and Wenham on Monday, the average is $3.70, with a low of $3.54 and a high of $3.99. That's up from an average of $3.67 per gallon last week.
