Cycle For Shelter

We at Beverly Cycles Like a lot of cool stuff. Bikes, rides, people, great conversations, and great food! Some times it's hard in the midst of having so much fun, to remember that we have it great, and that's not how it is for everyone else. There are over 40,000 children, this night, who will be sleeping outside, simply because they have no where else to go. Thats just horrible, I like my home, and my bed, and I think we as a community should take care of each other. Emmaus house, which is a non-profit organization that, helps people who are homeless disadvantaged, disabled, oppressed or unemployed, regain control of their lives. Now you're sitting there like “ok Mike, people are worse off than me, but I am just a guy who likes to bike, what can I do?”. Well, hold you horses, this is where it gets cool. Emmaus house every year hosts a bike ride to raise money and awareness for people in tough spots. You can even pick the length you want to ride. If you love going wicked far on your bike, there is a 100 mile ride, and then a 62, then a 50, and for those who want maybe a more relaxed ride can go in for the 24. And don't worry it's not going to dent your wallet. The registration is an all time low of twenty five dollars, but you can of course give more if you like. Also 100% of donations goes to helping those in need. So open your heart this year, and find out that it is not the size of our T.V. that's important, or the speed of our car. What really matters in this world is helping out when you can, so that everyone can get in on the fun! Check out the Emmaus website for sign up details, or come by the shop and we will walk you through the registration
