Summer Series to Return to Park

The Sunday concert series at Patton Park, which has been going on for more than a decade, returns to Patton Park this week.

The summer concert series at Patton Park will return again this summer, kicking off this Sunday.

The Sundays in Patton Park series has been happening for more than a decade, organized by the Community House of Hamilton-Wenham and a core of volunteers.

It gets started this coming weekend on Sunday, June 23 with Broadway in the Park, which features show tunes "performed by local talent."

Each concert runs 5-7 p.m. at the bandstand at the park and are free.

Organizers suggest that audience members bring a lawnchair or blanket and pack a picnic dinner to enjoy in Patton Park.

In the case of rain, concerts are typically moved indoors to the Community House.

The concert series continues through Aug. 4 with a range of music styles. Some of the other concerts scheduled for the summer include "Brass Connection" playing patriotic songs on July 7 and Don't Call Me Shirley on July 21 playing contemporary and classic hits.
