Big Bang Boom Ready to Rock the North Shore!

The children's group will perform on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School.

Submitted by Hamilton-Wenham Friends of the Arts:

Saturday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m., Big Bang Boom, a pop/rock band playing parent-friendly children’s tunes, is making the long haul from their home in Greensboro, NC all the way to Hamilton-Wenham, where they’ll rock the Ferrini Dramatics Center in an unprecedented live family concert sponsored by the Hamilton-Wenham Friends of the Arts.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Hamilton-Wenham Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

After 20 years touring clubs and playing parties, Chuck Folds, Steve Willard, and Eddie Walker decided to expand their horizons and play for parents who have had enough of Barney, The Wiggles, and Kidz Bop.

Big Bang Boom is kid’s music with a pop sensibility, aimed at being something that parents can enjoy and feel good about letting their kids listen to and enjoy together. The live show includes some children’s favorites as well as their own original songs for kids that encourage the crowd (kids AND parents) to get involved. From getting the kids on stage to join the “Spongebob Chorus” to a parents vs. kids hokey pokey challenge, Big Bang Boom has established the mantra “there is no sitting down at a Big Bang Boom show!”

Established in early 2007, Big Bang Boom has released a CD of original music, been invited to play the prestigious Tosco Music Party, been a regular attraction at the Greensboro, NC Children’s Museum, ran the Big Bang Boom Rock Star Summer Music Camp, and played numerous elementary and pre-schools, as well as other events around the country. They have also been in high demand for birthday parties, and regularly fill venues in North Carolina for daytime shows geared toward helping parents keep kids busy during summer break.

We are thrilled to offer this unique and exciting opportunity for families to spend time together enjoying fun through music with all proceeds going right back to our community arts programs. Tickets are $10 each or $8 each with the purchase of 4 or more (max 12). So bring the whole gang!

Seats are general admission. Save time and purchase your advance tickets online through Brown Paper Tickets by clicking here. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door. Come out and rock Hamilton-Wenham with us. We hope to see you there!
