HWCam Seeks Public Support at Tuesday Night Hearing

HWCam is looking for resident support as negotiations begin on a franchise agreement for Comcast as a cable TV provider.

The local public access channel is soliciting support from residents at a public hearing Tuesday night.

The "needs assessment hearing" is at Wenham Town Hall at 7 p.m. on Wenham Town Hall. The boards of selectmen from both Hamilton and Wenham are scheduled to attend and it is open to the public.

Executive Director Bill Melville said that the hearing is designed for residents to voice support for HWCAM to demonstrate to Comcast that HWCAM is a valuable resource for the residents of Hamilton and Wenham as negotiations begin for a new cable television franchise agreement.
