Community Stepping Up to Help Wells' Family

Local residents are rallying to support the family of Pamela Wells, the Hamilton woman who was killed Saturday after being struck by a car during a noncompetitive 100-mile bicycle ride.

Residents of Hamilton and other North Shore communities are rallying to support the family of Pamela Wells, the Hamilton mother who was killed while riding in a 100-mile noncompetitive bicycle ride in New Hampshire on Saturday.

A website has been set up to arrange for the delivery of dinners to Wells’ family – her husband, Tim Rogers and children, Alex and Alice.

The website TakeThemAMeal.com is being used to organize meal deliveries. Once on the site, the recipient name is “Rogers” and the password is “Pam.”

This week, the family’s Sagamore Street neighborhood is organizing meals for the family and after that, the schedule is set up to provide a meal every other day through the end of the year.

So far, the family has been “so touched by the outpouring of love and support being extended to them,” according to an organizational e-mail for the meals.

Once on the website, there is detailed information about delivering the meals, such as a reminder to prepare meals in disposable or recyclable containers so that the family does not need to worry about returning dishes. There’s also a chance for the volunteers to say exactly what type of food will be delivered so that there is variety.
