Oh, What a Night!

Pingree School's first summer Open Mic Nite on July 10 was a big success! The rain held off, lots of performers showed up, and the pizza and ice cream were great. The big surprise of the evening was a guest performance by two members of the popular band One Step Ahead (including Pingree grad Ben Trudeau) and senior Kian McGee sitting in for the band's third member. They rocked the place with several songs that will be on their next album being recorded this month in the studio.

Open Mic Nites will continue on Wednesdays until August 14. Sign-ups for middle school and high school comedians, instrumentalists, vocalists, rappers, dancers, and other performers in middle and high school at 5:30. Performances begin at 6:15. Free admission. Families welcome. Outdoors in Hedge Garden behind school. Bring picnic dinner or buy food from vendors, Mangia Pizza, Cupcake City, and Street Treats. For more information, call 978-468-4415 ext. 233 or go to www.pingree.org.
