New Patton Park Pool Plans

Proposed Plan 1B
Proposed Plan 1B
At the most recent meeting of the Joint Recreation Board, the committee narrowed choices for the Patton Park pool project from four to two: dubbed Plan 1B or Plan 3 with a beta load of 274... reduced from the original 438 presented at Fall Town Meeting.  The beta load is the number of people who would be allowed within the pool compound at any one time for any purpose and it determines how many showers and toilets must be installed (1 each for every 40 people).  We understand that the engineering firm Weston and Sampson will now be asked to provide approximate costs for each individual plan.  Stay tuned.

Thanks for scanning these for everyone to see. It will be interesting to see the cost difference between the plans. Is the smaller pool significantly cheaper? Is the larger pool really just a little bit more?

Those are two major questions, Michelle. Others might include timing, Wenham's decision about participation, and even location.
