Local Conference on Philanthropy

The Essex County Community Foundation will present a daylong conference for trustees and executive directors of nonprofit organizations on Saturday, March 22, featuring keynote speaker Billy Starr, founder and executive director of the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge, which last year raised the largest sum ever contributed to a charity by an athletic fundraising event anywhere in the world. One hundred percent of every rider-raised dollar from the PMC goes to cancer research and patient care. 
Following the keynote will be 22 workshop sessions in three breakout periods on board development, financial management, succession planning, evaluation and measurement, risk management, fundraising and more.
