Did anyone watch the Hamilton Board of Selectmen's meeting last Monday (June 30th). What a show!! Here is the short version.... 3 members of the BoS want to dictate who will be on the Planning Board as associate members without any input from the planning Board themselves! Now the usual procedure would be that the Planning Board would make a recommendation from a taken vote and send it on for routine approval from the Selectmen.... but hold on to your hats! Three of the Selectmen think they know better! They have there own idea's of who should be on the Planning Board so they turned down the PB's choice of Associate and put forth their own choice. Politics One-O-One... if you don't like a persons political beliefs find a way to get rid of them. It actually goes a little deeper but no room to go into detail in this column. Bottom line... so far their tactics did not work...the Planning Board stood their ground! more to come. stay tuned.
