Tomatoes Featured at Wednesday Evening Cooking Class

It is Wednesday, Aug. 28. Here are five things you need to know in Hamilton and Wenham: 

1. Sun: The sun is expected to be around for most of the day on Wednesday, with the possibility of some early fog and the chance of an afternoon shower. The temperature will be in the mid to upper 70s.

2. School: All students in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District return to school on Wednesday as the 2013-14 school year gets started.

3. Cooking: Appleton Cooks! On Wednesday night takes on tomatoes, giving participants “interesting ways to use this summer favorite.” The class starts at 6 p.m.

4. Lunch: The North of Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau comes to neighboring Essex on Wednesday with a luncheon at Woodman’s.

5. Estate Planning: Attorney Matt Karr will be at the Hamilton Council on Aging on Wednesday morning as part of its weekly open house from 10 a.m. to noon, talking about estate planning.
