Voting Machines to Make Town Meeting Debut on Monday

Moderator Bruce Ramsey said that two voting machines will be used to tally the vote at Monday night's Special Town Meeting in Hamilton.

“We’ll get a much, much quicker count,” Ramsey said, adding that the tally will be more accurate too.

Ramsay also said he would be “very firm” on the time limits for presenters and speakers. Presentations will be limited to 10 minutes and three minutes for speakers.

“That applies to everybody, including everybody in this room,” Ramsay told the Board of Selectmen on Monday.

Town Manager Michael Lombardo also said that Town Meeting floor debate should revolve around the facts.
