PumpkinFest Will Keep You Busy All Day Saturday
Hamilton-Wenham Patch's recommendations for local things to do, which mostly consists of Pumpkin Fest activities in Hamilton on Saturday.
This weekend is arguably the most action packed weekend of the fall in Hamilton and Wenham, headlined by the PumpkinFest on Saturday.
Almost all of our recommendations happen in a one square mile area (or maybe smaller) in downtown Hamilton, with just one recommendations just up Route 1A at the high school.
The Pumpkin Fest has a lot of fun for children but will keep all ages entertained. It kicks off at 1 p.m. at the Hamilton Public Safety Building. Activities continue through the afternoon with a chili cook-off and into the evening with a spaghetti dinner, Jack-o-Lantern glow and bon fire.
Also on Saturday afternoon, the EdFund is hosting a Got Talent competition, an expansion of it "Idol" contest in recent years.
Earlier in the day, the Hamilton-Wenham Mothers Group will hold a ribbon cutting for the new fence that was built between the Patton Park playground and Route 1A. The Mothers Group raised the $5,000 needed to pay for the fence.
Saturday night also offers one last chance to catch the high school production of Pirates of Penzance. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
So if you've lost count, here's the five things:
PumpkinFest, Got Talent, chili cook-off, the Pumpkin glow and Pirates of Penzance.
