Mark Michel of Hamilton recently attended the 30th annual Jimmy Fund Classic at The International Golf Club in Bolton to help Jimmy Fund Golf celebrate raising more than $6.4 million in 2012.

The event on Oct. 1 was to celebrate a season of raising money on the greens for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. The Jimmy Fund Classic is an annual event that recognizes tournament organizers and sponsors who helped raise more than $6.4 million in 2012.

Jimmy Fund Golf is one of the largest and oldest grassroots charity golf programs in the nation and since 1983 the organization has raised more than $91 million for cancer research and treatment.

Jimmy Fund Golf's sponsors include American Airlines, Callaway, CHAMP Spikes, Dunkin’ Donuts, Forty Seven Brand, HomeGoods, The International Golf Club and Wicked Local.
